About the Show

Things happen to Johnny Maxwell. They're not supposed to, but they do. Being a teenager is no fun, especially in 'Trying Times'. Obliterating aliens is good escapism, but is this fast paced adventure a game, a dream or reality?

Based on the Terry Pratchett bestseller, ONLY YOU CAN SAVE MANKIND the Musical has music by Leighton James House and Lyrics by Shaun McKenna.

About the Cast and Crew

Ashleigh played Kirsty, a kick ass feminist teenager, who secretly dreams of the action packed lifestyle of her favourite movie star Sigourney Weaver. When Johnny has to save the Scree Wee race, he knows there is only one girl with the skill and determination to help him through it.

Alongside Ashleigh were Bennett Andrews, Tim Frater, Jonathan Glew, Richard Hartley, Ben Heathcote and Lucy Walker.

The show was directed by Christian Durham with Laurie Perkins as Musical Director

Where and When

ONLY YOU CAN SAVE MANKIND the Musical received its world premiere at the 2004 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Performances were from the 4th to the 30th August (except 17th) at the Pleasance Courtyard
