About the Show

Taboo is a sparkling musical by Boy George with book by Mark Davies-Markham. The show was nominated as Best New Musical of 2002 in the Olivier Awards.

A love story of passion, ambition and betrayal unfolds alongside the journey of Boy George's rise and fall from international stardom. Featuring 16 brand new songs alongside classics hits including 'Do You Really Want to Hurt Me' and 'Karma Chameleon', this witty and entertaining musical takes on the life, times and styles of the innovators who shaped and defined the face of the 1980's.

About the Cast and Crew

Ashleigh played the lead role of Kim a fashion designer, who begins the show living in a squat with Boy George, loves, loses and regains Billy (a photographer) and establishes her own successful fashion business.

Alongside Ashleigh were Drew Jaymson (Philip Sallon), Stephen Ashfield (Boy George), Julian Clary/Mark Little (Leigh Bowery) , Luke Evans/Declan Bennett/Paul Spicer (Billy), James Gillan (Marilyn), Jacqui Ray (Josie), Steven Osbourne (Petal) Gareth Heesom (Steve Strange), Emma Bispham (Big Sue), and Michelle Hooper (Janey).

The show was directed by Christian Durham with Dean Austin as Musical Director
