Guys and Dolls

In December 2000 Debbie appeared in a new production of the classic Broadway musical - Guys and Dolls at the Crucible Theatre Sheffield.

Wriiten by Loesser/Runyon the show is set in the Broadway of the 1940's.

Iinhabited by gamblers, nightclub performers, and Salvation Army members trying to cure the sins of the Times Square population.

The rich plot revolves around a bet made by gambler Sky Masterson with Nathan Detroit, organizer of a floating crapgame, that he can woo any girl that Nathan chooses.

The status of the bet, the crap game, and the end of the 14-year engagement of Nathan and his girl, Adelaide, result in confusion amidst great song and dance.

Debbie appeared in a variety of roles including being the featured Cuban dancer in a spectacular Havana night club sequence.

The cast appearing with Debbie included Tracie Bennett, Ian Bartholomew, Harry Burton, Claire Carrie and Martin Callaghan
