In Summer 2000 Debbie played the role of Diane in a production of the Rodgers and Hart's Pal Joey at the Chicester Festival Theatre.

Martin Crewes, played the eponymous Chicago nightclub MC who compulsively schmoozes dames, with Susannah Fellows as Vera, the rich older woman who makes Joey her toyboy. Also in the cast was Clare Burt.

Casting was by David Grindrod, the show was directed by Loveday Ingram and choreographed by Craig Revel Horwood.
