So far this year Gerard has been named Best Irish TV Actor at The Irish Entertainment Awards and picked up Best Newcomer nominations at the British Soap Awards and the Inside Soap Awards.

During his summer break from Hollyoaks, he toured Northern Ireland as a guest judge on Citybeat's Young Star Search and dropped in to have a chat with Dermot O'Leary on BBLB. Gerard was also a co-host at this year's V Festival and presented exclusive footage for Virgin Media with the fantastic Claire Anstey.

He is now back on screen as Kris Fisher in Hollyoaks.

On 6th October, Gerard overcame his fear of heights by doing a charity abseil down Belfast's most famous hotel - The Europa. He was raising money for the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice. He also performed an exclusive live track with some Hollyoaks co-stars at this years Children In Need on BBC1 and recently appeared as a guest on Katie & Peter: Unleashed.

Gerard will soon be performing at the Young Voices concert with Lee Ryan at The Odyssey Arena in Belfast and has been invited to perform at Glinda's Glitter Ball - the final performance at The Lyric Theatre, Belfast.
