2010 continues to be a busy year for Matthew. He is about to film “Cries” a short film directed by Verity Healey, as well as recording two audio books for RNIB Talking Books, where Matthew is now a regular reader.
He has also recently appeared in the latest national advertising campaign for KFC, which has been airing this summer, as well as playing the part of Marston in an exciting short film entitled “The Find”, directed by up and coming director and producer Azhur Saleem and James Boyle. He has also recently appeared as SIMON in “Swing” at The Cock Tavern Theatre, Kilburn and he is to reprise this role in at The Soho Theatre on 1st September. There are two special performances at 12.30pm and 2.30pm for industry professionals so please contact Matthew’s agent if you would like to come along.
Matthew is also due to film “Davey Smith: And the Spanish Assassin ” for television in the autumn, which is being filmed on location in Dover. It is hoped that this first episode will lead to a series, so watch out for Matthew playing a grumpy Elizabethan guard.
Filming has now finished on two feature films Matthew has been working on: “The Power of Three” starring amongst others Toyah Wilcox, and “The Affected”, which shows life in a bleak post-apocalyptic London. Matthew has also completed filming the short film “My Left Hand” directed by Rich Naylor for the Met Film School, and the final cut is nearly completed, so watch out for Matthew playing a nasty boss.
He is also helping to research the next play for Robin Soans, whose recent play “Our Friends Up North” was performed at The Wiltons Music Hall at the end of 2009.
Matthew has also been working on other projects including commercials and corporate videos.
Matthew was due to run the London Marathon but due to injury had to pull out.
