THE RETURN OF THE GOLD AND CRIMSON

And so it comes to pass that once again I take up holy orders and don the gold and crimson robes of the Cardinal of Rome in Jonathan Kent’s production of Tosca at The House. Rehearsals are underway and there are performances on various dates from June 7th to July 17th.

My recent outing , the New End Theatre production of Death of a Nightingale, came and went and the nightingale duly died, sadly proving as it plunged, wingless, rudderless, directionless, that it was in fact a turkey. Least said soonest forgotten.

It has always saddened me that people with an important message they passionately wish to deliver, who hold that message dear to their hearts, will attempt to make delivery via a medium for which they have no talent. It’s particularly sad when the message is well worth being heard long and loud.
