Youth Television - Before her more recent work in news programming and national television continuity, Sasha was a presenter on the national cable youth channel ‘Rapture TV’ where she produced and presented two programme strands:
‘The Alternative Prospectus’ was a location-based programme, recorded at various college campuses around the UK. It was a ‘warts and all’ guide to university life with input from students, lecturers and student union representatives.
‘Talk Tank’ was a live advice show aiming to tackle teenage issues. During its run, it focused on problems such as bullying, family separation, drug abuse and exam stress. It also touched on lighter issues such as football and holidays with parents!
Radio - Sasha started her career in local radio as a newsreader for Mid Anglia Radio (a network of four stations).
She also has eight years experience as a presenter on local radio: At Hereward FM (Peterborough), she hosted the evening show – a fast-paced programme packed with celebrity interviews. At CNFM (latterly Q103, Cambridge), she was the Afternoon Drive host and at KLFM (King’s Lynn), she was part of the original launch team, later going on to present the station’s Breakfast show.
During her time in radio, Sasha also worked on news programmes and joined a charity mission reporting from hospitals, schools and orphanages in the former Yugoslavia.
