CATS

In 1993 Steven landed a plum role in CATS at the New London Theatre.

He played Munkustrap, the narrator of the piece. Munkustrap is also second in command of the Tribe and as Old Deuteronomy (the leader) is getting on in years, he has significant protective responsibility.

His major numbers in the show included: "Old Deuteronomy", "The Awful Battle of the Pekes and the Pollicles" and "Macavity". The part involved applying and wearing some very intricate make-up/costume and mastering some tricky feline dance moves.

The show was composed by Lord Lloyd Webber, directed by Trevor Nunn and choreographed by the world famous choreographer Gillian Lynne.
