Hot Mikado

HOT MIKADO

On 18th May 1995 Hot Mikado opened at the Queens Theatre in London.

Steven featured as one of the "Gentlemen of Japan.

Hot Mikado' is set in a 1940s American Night Club located in the Town of Titipu.

The music encompasses a variety of styles including: gospel, blues, swing, rock and jazz. The costumes reflect the style of America in the 1940s e.g. zoot suits, snoods, and felt hats.

The show was adapted from Gilbert and Sullivans - The Mikado by David Bell and Rob Bowman.

The Gentlemen feature in a number of songs including "Behold the Lord High Executioner" and "I've got a list" . As well as opening the show with the number "We are Gentlemen of Japan".
